About Cabin Glass

Hi – I’m Kristie! I’m so glad you made it to my page. I am a stained glass artist based in Toronto, the place I call home.

I enjoy collecting old glass and vintage frames as well as broken or damaged stained glass pieces and reworking them into new works of art.

After some years of having interest in glasswork, I took a stained glass workshop and was immediately drawn to this form of art expression. I spent many hours and most of my free time learning everything I could as I continued to take classes, learn online and self teach through trial and error and lots of practice.

I started a page to showcase my work and began to receive requests for custom pieces. I also began to sell my own hand-made pieces to help support my craft. Since then my work has grown from small glass ornaments to larger scale projects that include lead windows, transoms, decorative panels and more. I am currently working on both small and large scale custom commissions and frequently sell my own collections of stained glass.

My favourite thing about stained glass is how it transfers light. A simple piece of glass can cast the most beautiful light refractions across a room and can display colour that transforms the feeling within a space. I enjoy bringing beautiful decorative suncatchers to life and also incorporating stained glass within the architecture and design of both residential and commercial spaces.

Every day that I get to spend creatively working with glass brings so much joy to my life. I appreciate your inquiries and interest and look forward to working with you on your next creative project.
