How Can I Request Commission Work?

Thank you for considering me for your next creative project! I would love to create something beautiful for your space. Below is a detailed explanation of the planning process for booking with me.

Once I have received this information I will contact you to discuss your concept and timeline for completion. If our goals are compatible we can move forward with the design process.

Pricing
Generally around $275 per square foot. This price can vary depending on the complexity of the project as well as the choice of materials and glass.

Design Process

Planning & Discussion
To discuss the overall goals of the artwork including style, size, subject matter (if any), purpose (can include decorative or privacy), colour and glass preference, light exposure, time frame and budget/price range.
** Please note that larger pieces may need to be divided into smaller subunits for structural integrity, shipping or installation solutions.

Site
Depending on the size and nature of the project I may want to visit the site to draw inspiration, discuss and take photos. If this is not possible client may provide photos if requested.

Draft, Contract & Deposit
If the planning discussion determines we are a good fit, the client is to submit a deposit (amount will depend on the overall budget). This is non-refundable and will be deducted off of final payment. We may sign a contract of terms to move forward. In return, I will develop a sketch or several sketches with a price estimate for each design.

Feedback & Design
We will discuss the design choices based on the sketches and your preference of glass colours and textures as well as other materials to determine the final design.

Final Drawing & Payment
Once the client has decided on the design a 50% deposit of the remainder of the balance is required to proceed with the project. No changes are permitted past this point as the deposit covers the cost of materials and time. If changes are required than additional charges will be charged for added time or materials required.

Delivery/Pickup & Final Payment
A pickup appointment is required. If you require delivery additional charges will apply. If you are local to the greater Toronto area I may be able to provide delivery myself otherwise I will find the most suitable delivery method. The remaining 50% less first draft deposit as well as any delivery charges will be required on pickup or before delivery is made.

Installation
I offer installation for windows, door inserts, transoms and more. Pricing is based on time, materials and the complexity of the installation.
